Arrests made after drugs recovered at Senghennydd halls of residence

South Wales Police arrested three people after recovering drugs in the area around Senghennydd halls of residence, Gair Rhydd can exclusively report.

During the last week of semester South Wales Police confirmed they had found “various suspected controlled drugs” from a room in Salisbury Road.

After being asked to attend by security staff at the halls of residence, authorities arrested a 20-year-old woman and two men aged 19 and 20 on “suspicion of possession with intent to supply drugs”

They were later released on bail with inquiries to follow.

Talking to Gair Rhydd several students living in Senghenydd confirmed that the police had searched a flat and made arrests. It was suggested that a significant amount of drugs with a large value was confiscated but this is yet to be confirmed.
