CUCF is going the extra mile for Ty Hafan

Cardiff University Complete Fitness (CUCF) are going the extra mile to raise donations for Ty Hafan, a Cardiff-based charity which helps children and young people with life limiting illnesses and their families. A relay team of CUCF members will push themselves to their limits by cycling non-stop on their exercise bikes, aiming for over 551 miles of virtual travel (that’s at least one mile for each of the families helped by Ty Hafan) in support of this local charity to help them to offer comfort, care and support to local families and their children. These families and the courageous children they care for will motivate us to push ourselves to raise funds and sponsorship which may go a little way to helping bring a smile to the face of these amazing kids. If you love lycra and helping people come and visit the team to lend your support at Cardiff University Sport Strength and Conditioning Centre on Park Place all day on Wednesday 12th March. You can even help to tot up a mile or two yourself so come on down and get involved, it’s all for a really good cause!

At CUCF we consider ourselves the first stop for all things gym at Cardiff University. Whether you are a high-level lifter looking to compete in national level CrossFit competitions or a complete novice who is interested in toning up a bit, we can help you achieve your goals. Using the University’s world-class Strength and Conditioning Centre as our base for our supportive, team-based training environment, we offer helpful coaching and a range of classes. These include weekly beginner and advanced CrossFit sessions, novice lifting technique sessions, strength building sessions and our Sunday sessions where members can work closely with our coaches and pick their brains on anything fitness related. CUCF is in its first complete year as an AU club but already has a strong cohort of dedicated members and a range of exciting events in the works. If you wish to know more, find us at or search CUCF on Facebook.
