Without getting too political,\u252c\u00e1we all know we&#8217;re entering into darker times. It is not surprising this year was cursed, after it kickstarted with the\u252c\u00e1death\u252c\u00e1of walking angel, Mr David Bowie. The 10<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> of January marked\u252c\u00e1the loss of a mystic being, who graced our earth with beauty and talent, and without whom, culture wouldn&#8217;t be the same. In perfect Bowie fashion, he left one last gift , \u00d4\u00c7\u00ff<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Blackstar&#8217;<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> , \u252c\u00e1one of the most memorable albums of the year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"ast-oembed-container \" style=\"height: 100%;\"><iframe title=\"David Bowie - Blackstar (Video)\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/kszLwBaC4Sw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>Our luck didn&#8217;t change, as April brought the loss of another legend Prince, a creature so mystical he had people questioning if he&#8217;d predicted his own death in 1986 with \u00d4\u00c7\u00ff<i>Sometimes it Snows in April&#8217;.<\/i>\u252c\u00e1This April,\u252c\u00e1it actually did.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">With it being Christmas, we mustn&#8217;t dwell on sadness. 2016 brought some good musical moments. Tour wise, we saw the return of The Libertines<i>. <\/i>L<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">et&#8217;s be honest, nobody knows how long that will last, so we had to make the most of it! Not only that, but Foals had their first arena tour and they did it in the most utmost of fashions. However, we can&#8217;t forget the release of<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Kanye West&#8217;s <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00d4\u00c7\u00ffLife of Pablo&#8217;,<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> where we witnessed Kanye singing about how much \u00d4\u00c7\u00ffHe loves Kanye&#8217;. Radiohead were back, dropping <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00d4\u00c7\u00ffA Moon Shaped Pool&#8217;<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> to widespread critical acclaim. Manchester&#8217;s Spring King released their much anticipated debut, \u00d4\u00c7\u00ff<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Tell Me If You Like To&#8217;<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. Twin Atlantic gave us \u00d4\u00c7\u00ff<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">GLA&#8217;<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and an accompanying tour, selling out Y Plas and hinting to new work soon. Bastille released \u00d4\u00c7\u00ff<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Wild World&#8217;<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, sold out the Motorpoint and scored a second number one album. Festivals this summer were, on the whole, blessed with good weather and even better music. Foals headlined Reading and Leeds, their biggest audiences to date, and now have their eyes set on Glastonbury. Glastonbury saw the return of LCD Soundsystem, Adele&#8217;s first headline slot and a massive set from Two Door Cinema Club, exhibiting their new album \u00d4\u00c7\u00ff<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Gameshow&#8217;<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. Rock band Avenged Sevenfold brought us \u00d4\u00c7\u00ff<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Stage&#8217;, <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">kicking October into high gear in terms of rock and indie music.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">As sure as the disappointment of an advent calendar chocolate, December brought us Christmas songs, new and old. Mariah Carey&#8217;s \u00d4\u00c7\u00ff<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">All I Want For Christmas Is You&#8217;<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> was been once again overplayed, but Michael Buble has been distinctly absent, despite the release of his \u00d4\u00c7\u00ff<em>Nobody But Me<\/em>&#8216; album.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The always exciting Christmas No.1 is normally bestowed on the winner of the X Factor, however this year was different.
