An independent caf\u251c\u00ae, located on Crwys Road, in the heart of Cathays. With unique d\u251c\u00aecor and a quirky feel, Stag oozes a relaxed and comforting vibe.<\/p>\n<p>The small caf\u251c\u00ae possesses a large menu containing all-day breakfast dishes (perfect for brunch-lovers, hangovers or late risers), sandwiches and burgers. For my first visit, I had the \u00d4\u00c7\u00ffsmashed avo&#8217;: what it says on the tin, alongside feta, on seeded bread, with chilli flakes and pumpkin seeds, at a reasonable price of \u252c\u00fa4.95. I also had thick-cut bacon on the side (only a \u252c\u00fa1 supplement charge), and you could also add smoked salmon or a fried egg for additional charges.<\/p>\n<p>On my second trip to Stag, I chose the \u00d4\u00c7\u00ffbuttermilk pancakes&#8217;, with strawberries, blueberries, bananas, and not to forget, a generous drizzling of syrup. The pancakes were the perfect comfort food, and at \u252c\u00fa6.95, not too expensive either.<\/p>\n<p>Both times I have visited Stag, I have had the toffee nut latte, and wow, it is divine (and big!). It is also high-quality food that is sensibly priced \u00d4\u00c7\u00f4 perfect for students.<\/p>\n<p>One thing I would say, if you&#8217;re wanting to go to Stag on a Saturday or Sunday morning, make sure you get there at a reasonable time (it opens at 9:30am on Saturdays and 10am on Sundays) as there is always a queue outside before it&#8217;s even opened. Although it is quite a small caf\u251c\u00ae, they have recently opened a new seating area, and there is also space outside at the front, as well as additional seats at the back, so fingers crossed you can find a table!<\/p>\n<p>Quick service, friendly staff, great prices, and most of all, delicious food. What more could you ask for? So what are you waiting for?
