Last Sunday Quench was invited to the launch of Cardiff’s newest performance gym: PB Performance. Aside from tucking into all the wonderful food and drink that PB Performance had to offer, we also trialled some of the gym’s new, state-of-the-art equipment and attended various workshops about the art of powerlifting and weightlifting.<\/p>\n
The equipment is not like your everyday gym setup, with most of the equipment being designed to really push your body’s limits. However, do not let that put you off! There is a wonderful team of professionals on hand to help you get the hang of things, whether you’re a complete newbie to gym life or a professional weightlifter.<\/p>\n
Aside from the state-of-the-art equipment on offer at PB Performance, the gym’s d\u251c\u00aecor is really something to be admired. The gym is modern and spacious, and you cannot possibly fault the facilities on offer. From their cosy caf\u251c\u00ae serving a variety of nutritious snacks to their changing and locker facilities, PB Performance embodies a classy and professional feel. The gym is split into several sections with the ground floor populated with weightlifting and powerlifting machines, while cardio machines can be located on the balcony. There is also an exercise\/presentation room situated at the back of the gym which is accompanied by a spin class room fitted with disco lights \u00d4\u00c7\u00f4 yes, you read correctly: disco lights.<\/p>\n
The gym is located on Portmanmoor Road and is run by business partners Pelin Baykal and Lawrence Farncome who stress that PB Performance aims \u00d4\u00c7\u00ffto cater to any fitness goals whether you’re a complete beginner or an elite athlete’. PB Performance will host state-of-the-art classes for strongman, weightlifting, cross-fit, pilates and yoga. There are a variety of memberships available for the gym ranging from contract, non-contract and student.<\/p>\n
There’s something for everyone at PB Performance. If you’re looking for somewhere new to work out, are a professional athlete looking for a suitable place to train or are a complete newbie and don’t know where to start, I cannot recommend PB Performance enough!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
