Start 2013 by exploring more of Cardiff and the surrounding area, here are a few ideas to get you started<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><b>Cycle the Taff trail<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>The Taff trail runs alongside the River Taff for 55 miles from Cardiff Bay to Brecon. If that&#8217;s a bit too far, why not take a ride up to Castell Coch, an impressive gothic revival castle just a few miles north of Cardiff.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><b>Dunraven Bay<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>Otherwise known as Southerndown Beach this bay is a beautiful spot just outside of Bridgend, and it&#8217;s got a bit of everything: sand, waves and cliffs to explore.\u252c\u00e1 If you think it looks familiar, you&#8217;ve probably seen it on TV on shows like Doctor Who and Merlin.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><b>Walk through the Brecon Beacons<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>There are over 30 walking routes through the national park, all varying in difficulty and ranging from quick walks along the canal to an 8 day trek. That&#8217;s not all you can do here though; caving, climbing, gliding, kayaking and windsurfing are all on offer too!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><b>Go boating on Roath Park Lake<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>A great choice for when it gets a bit warmer. The lake in Roath Park offers pedalos, rowing boats and a motor launch, perfect for a trip with friends and a picnic. If boating isn&#8217;t your thing, you can also go fishing in the lake or walk around the Wild or Botanic Garden.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><b>Play crazy golf at Celtic Manor<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>Best known for hosting the 2010 Ryder Cup, Celtic Manor is a luxury resort just outside of Newport.
