Aside from their unusual name, it has been their lyrics which have earned the band attention and praise; often writing about conventional songs topics (romance) in more unconventional ways (holding your loved one down with breezeblocks).\u252c\u00e1 These lyrics are, however, delivered by a voice which is pure marmite; Joe Newman&#8217;s nasally tones has proved to be quite divisive among listeners.\u252c\u00e1 While I actually really enjoy it, I find deciphering the lyrics an almost impossible challenge at times due to the heavy slurring in some songs, notably Fitzpleasure; thankfully, the thoughtful instrumentation and slick production goes some way to compensate for this. An enjoyable debut this certainly is, but I whether I will return to this album with the same enthusiasm that I have for it now at the end of the year or not is uncertain.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Like this?
