It’s a new year and that means some great new fashion trends!\u252c\u00e1Admittedly, it’s been a cold and wet start to the year, but contrary to the weather outside, the fashion forecast for 2014 looks brighter than ever.\u252c\u00e1From classic checked patterns to loud and proud slogan-bearing t-shirts, this year’s styles are diverse and there is something for everyone.<\/p>\n

Nothing says spring like soft pastel colours. True, it may still be cold outside but that doesn’t mean our wardrobes have to be dull and drab too, and pastels offer a refreshing change to the dark colours of winter.<\/p>\n

A new year means out with the old and in with the new, so it’s time to light up our wardrobes and shelves with mint greens, pastel pinks and baby blues, as the catwalks have been swept with these beautiful colours. So change up that black biker jacket for one in a brighter hue, as seen in Antonio Berardi and Vanessa Bruno’s spring collections.<\/p>\n

Alternatively, layer pastel coloured jumpers with delicate lace for an ultra-feminine, chic style, seen styled at Burberry. Or perhaps just add a splash of colour to any outfit with a sugary sweet pastel coloured accessory. The pastel trend is one that you can wear now through to summer, and it will certainly get you in the mood for spring.<\/p>\n
