He wanted his teddy to come to life and become his BFF. Behold the animation of Ted! Like many films and joy-killers in the past, this romantic comedy from <em>Family Guy<\/em> director Seth MacFarlane (who also provides the voice of Ted) teaches people to be careful what they wish for. What seemed as a fluffy bundle of fun as a kid begins to put a strain on John&#8217;s relationship with his long-term girlfriend Lori [Mila Kunis] decades later. Friendship and love are weighed up in John&#8217;s head and heart as he tries to decide which of his nearest companions to stop seeing.<\/p>\n<p>Ted&#8217;s lewd, antisocial frat-boy behaviour causes a handful of cheap laughs that fade in their funniness once the film ends. \u252c\u00e1Poop jokes, swearing and drug-induced stupidity are in abundance, inviting the audience to join in with the bear&#8217;s misbehaviour and his casual view on the real world. \u252c\u00e1Without these moments, all that remains is a generic rom-com storyline of troubled love and a spot of jealousy. Luckily, there are enough satirical jabs at society to blur this fact, allowing viewers to float among the easy humour until <em>Ted<\/em> ends.<strong><\/strong> It&#8217;s furry, funny and farcical for a one-off watch, but not worth buying on DVD.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right\">\u252c\u00e1<em>With thanks to Cineworld Cardiff<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;
