With no stucture and little means of survival this innocent tale quickly turns dark as the boys attempt to create order end in chaos and disaster. The novel discusses great themes such as human nature and the interests of the individual when placed in terms of the common good. This crucial novel has been adapted into films, for stage and has been included in the national curriculum.<\/p>\n<p>Matthew Bourne takes this story and turns it into something new. The piece is choreographed by Olivier nominated Scott Ambler and the performance is raw and captures the savage nature of the boys as the movement becomes almost animal like. The established cast is mixed with local dancers and this creates a new dynamic to the performance. This performance is great for those who love dance as this style is spectacular to watch but the familiarity of the story and the powerful cast make it suitable for those who are new to the dance world.
