Let me introduce you to Chapter Arts, one of Cardiff’s most exciting cultural hotspots and what better way to get acquainted than a glimpse of what’s coming up at Chapter this season. <\/p>\n

Cardiff has an exciting hub of Culture and as Culture Editor it is my job to keep you up to date with the latest news. This month Chapter Arts has some exciting events on the cards so here is my pick of some of best.<\/p>\n

\"http:\/\/www.painesplough.com\/blog\/tag\/lisburn-arts-centre\/\"<\/a>Chapter Arts was founded in 1971 and has grown to become one of the major centres for the contemporary arts in Europe. It continues to remain true to the original vision of being a centre that houses art, theatre and dance under one roof, and has therefore long been established as one of the most influential cultural hotspots in Cardiff.<\/p>\n

As a venue Chapter Arts strives to maintain their reputation for excellence, innovation and collaboration, by offering an ever changing programme of the best performance, films and exhibitions from Wales and around the World. This concern with housing original events means Chapter has become a flagship for the contemporary arts in Wales.<\/p>\n

This month Chapter has lots of events to get excited about from theatre to film. Following a sell-out run at last year’s Edinburgh Festival, award-winning theatre company Fifth Word bring their performance of Jane Upton’s Bones <\/em>to Chapter.\u252c\u00e1 Bones is a play that is an achingly honest portrayal of a teenager struggling to find his way in a world that doesn’t want him – set to be a truly unmissable performance.<\/p>\n

Also look out for Chapter’s offering of events as part of Swn Festival 2012, Cardiff’s very own four day multi-venue music festival that features the best local, national and international acts. This year Swn has a host of arts based Fringe events. The programme at Chapter has something for everyone from sets by bands such Dry the River along with film screenings of musical movies inspired by the festival. \u252c\u00e1With discounted prices for wristband holders you have no excuse not to get yourself down to Chapter and\u252c\u00e1check out\u252c\u00e1their amazing selection of\u252c\u00e1fringe and music events.<\/p>\n
