One of them would be embracing your new home culture and immersing yourself into the Welsh experience. Here&#8217;s a must for any student that comes to Wales \u00d4\u00c7\u00f4 to know hoto make the famous Welsh cakes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">\u252c\u00e1Somewhere between a cake and a biscuit, this consistent dessert is healthy, easy to prepare and can successfully complement a cup of tea or milk. We rolled up our sleeves and got into the kitchen to offer you a demonstration of how to master Welsh desserts&#8217; most beaten but not unattractive path. All the utensils you need before getting started would be a medium-sized bowl, a spoon and a pan. After, you might need to consider some washing-up liquid and an empty stomach.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><strong>ingredients\u252c\u00e1<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">(for 6-7 cakes)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">250-300g all-purpose flour<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">75g caster sugar<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">1 egg<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">\u252c\u00a2 tbsp baking powder<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">50g diced butter and some extra for the greasing<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">75g sultanas<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">a splash of milk<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">spices: lemon peel and\/or cinnamon (optional)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">a pinch of salt (if you use unsalted butter)<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: left\">\u252c\u00e1<a href=\"https:\/\/cardiffstudentmedia.co.uk\/quench\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2012\/10\/Untitled11.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-850\" title=\"Untitled1\" src=\"https:\/\/cardiffstudentmedia.co.uk\/quench\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2012\/10\/Untitled11-300x180.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"180\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cardiffstudentmedia.co.uk\/quench\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2012\/10\/Untitled11-300x180.png 300w, https:\/\/cardiffstudentmedia.co.uk\/quench\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2012\/10\/Untitled11.png 510w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><strong>I<\/strong><strong>\u252c\u00e1<\/strong>Start by tipping the flour and the baking powder and mixing it with the butter until it gets crumbly.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><strong>II\u252c\u00e1<\/strong>Add the egg, the sugar and the sultanas, and work them into the mixture. If it seems too dry, just pour a spot of milk.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><strong>III<\/strong>\u252c\u00e1Don&#8217;t forget about the cinnamon and the lemon peel. These are optional, but recommended, since they enhance the flavour of the\u252c\u00e1 dough. In case it gets sticky, you may add some more flour.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><strong>IV\u252c\u00e1<\/strong>Form small balls of dough, shape them and put them into the already greased and heated pan.
