Lacrosse ease past Marjons

Cardiff: 7
Plymouth Marjons: 0

Cardiff menÔÇÖs lacrosse pulled off yet another great win last week against Plymouth Marjons.
Following their recent line of victories, the team approached the match with confidence, which in fact proved a hindrance as a slightly complacent performance failed to yield any first-quarter goals.
Captain Jack Ward stirred his team into action with a motivational talk at quarter-time, resulting in renewed momentum, more effective play and proficient lacrosse for the remainder of the game.
Bradley Cooper opened the scoring in the second quarter, with a superb first goal of the match. The teamÔÇÖs defence was resilient while dominating in attack, which resulted in further goals from Joakim Schuwer, who then assisted CooperÔÇÖs second goal of the quarter to make it 3-0 at half time.

A more composed Cardiff in the third quarter, demonstrated some fantastic lacrosse with settled plays and dynamic in attack. Ondre Teluch and James Gibson executed two skilful drives, both of which resulted in goals, extending the lead to a healthy 5-0 at the end of the third quarter.
In the final stage of the game, goals from Charlie Quarry and another from Gibson put the game well and truly beyond the reach of  Marjons

Given CardiffÔÇÖs advantage, it was a perfect opportunity for several freshers to get some valuable game-time. They exceeded expectations, with strong midfield play demonstrated by Josh Abraham, whose skilled cuts earned him Man of the Match. On the whole, the senior players were impressed, leading to high hopes for the new recruits and the remainder of the season.

The final score was 7-0 to Cardiff, who once again performed to a high standard, executing astute attacks and maintaining steadfast defence, with an especially good performance from goalkeeper Mark Lane.
