Taking over Funkirk Estate in Skipton this August 7th-10th is Beacons Festival. Beacons is North YorkshireÔÇÖs premier arts and music festival set amongst the picturesque Yorkshire Dales. Headlining the festival for 2014 are electro duo Darkside, melancholic songsters Daughter and ┬ámelodic techno producer Jon Hopkins. Other names on the bill include Action Bronson, JAWS, Fat White Family, Neneh Cherry and John Wizards. Those are all amongst a line up of over 100 acts so youÔÇÖre sure to find something that tickles your fancy.

If the music doesnÔÇÖt float your boat however, Beacons has a whole lot more to offer. Alongside the stages, you can while away your afternoons at any of the endless amounts of workshops and art exhibitions. Try your hand at printing your own Beacons poster at The Print Project or explore the chilled out quirks and creativity of The Space Between, which plays host to film screenings and lectures from some of the UKs best live art and performance talents. ThereÔÇÖs also a number of art installations, roaming performances AND a vintage fair.

With so much to do youÔÇÖre bound to get hungry and, of course, Beacons have you well and truly covered.
