Have a guess at who was the most played band on the radio in 2006? Got a Feeling you know this oneÔǪ? It was of course The Feeling, who – after forming in the mid-90s – exploded into the British music mainstream in the mid-2000s with the smash hits, ÔÇ£Fill My Little WorldÔÇØ, ÔÇ£Never Be LonelyÔÇØ, and ÔÇ£I Love It When You CallÔÇØ. But their music is much more than a few big radio hits. After a quiet recent few years, the BRIT Award nominated band have come back with a bang with their brilliant comeback album Boy Cried Wolf. You can sense that this album has a deeper meaning than the previous three; it has been heavily influenced by their collective musical and personal journey throughout their careers, and is displayed in tracks such as ÔÇ£YouÔÇÖll SeeÔÇØ and ÔÇ£A Lost HomeÔÇØ. Luckily for Cardiff students, The Feeling will be bringing their uplifting, energetic music to Cardiff Students Union this Sunday the 3rd of November, and there are still a few tickets up for grabs.
The Feeling will be supported by up-and-coming, London based band, Yellowire. Keep a listen out for ÔÇ£Tonight Is The NightÔÇØ – the biggest hit of their careers to date -and their new single, ÔÇ£Draw The LineÔÇØ.
The FeelingÔÇÖs current tour was re-scheduled to coincide with this albumÔÇÖs release. It is sure to be worth the wait.
