Thailand has been on my bucket list for many years and in March this year, my mum, sister and I finally took the trip there. We spent 10 days in Phuket, which is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Thailand, with some of the countryÔÇÖs most famous beaches.
After a 16-hour journey, we finally arrived.
We stayed in an absolutely stunning resort – Angsana Laguna- and our room was huge, with stunning views of both pool and beach.
Although I expected it to be hot, I was not as prepared as I should have been. With the temperature rising from 34 degrees to 40 degrees, it was ridiculously scorching! On our first day there was quite a nice breeze, so stupidly we sunbathed for the majority of the day and we obviously regretted that later!
After getting insanely burnt, we decided sunbathing was not the most sensible idea. With that, we jam-packed our time in Thailand with unforgettable activities.
If youÔÇÖre an animal lover, I would definitely recommend a trip to Phuket. Before our trip I had heard stories about animal cruelty in Thailand so I was at first reluctant about viewing animals, but I would definitely suggest it. After reading around we visited a tiger sanctuary followed by enjoying an elephant trek, and I can one hundred per cent say the animals appeared to be happy and healthy. It was amazing to see the tigers and elephants. Although it does seem cruel to see them in these places and not in the wild, it was a wonderful experience.
During our time in Thailand we also went on a boat trip to Phi Phi Island, which was without a doubt one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. The beach was full of monkeys and the sea was full of dolphins. Once again we had a fantastic time.
Tian Tan Buddah -The Big Buddha- is definitely a must-see as well. It is huge so you canÔÇÖt miss it!
Overall, my holiday to Phuket was unquestionably one of the most amazing holidays I have ever been on and I would highly recommend it.
