Quench Workshops: Reviews

We at Quench have decided we want to share what we know with anybody at Cardiff University. Disclaimer: we’re not professionals, but we try our darned hardest to be as close to that as we can.

So in the spirit of helping to improve everybody’s CV (and also hopefully, improving the calibre of contributions we get from some of you) these workshops will be completely free.

REVIEWS

Our first workshop will teach you the basics of a good review: how to tell a good one from a bad one, what structure or tone to take depending on who you’re writing for, and what kind of things you should be keeping your eyes, ears and brain peeled for. Our Music, Food & Drink, Film and Video Games editors will be in to give you subject-specific guidance.

To sign up for the workshops, you won’t need:

  • Any previous experience
  • To have done anything┬áfor Quench before.

BUT you do need:

  • Enthusiasm!
  • Something to take down notes on

The workshop will take place on Wednesday 25th February, in Room 4D on the 4th floor of the SU, starting at 6PM and hopefully finishing at 7PM. I’ts a small room, so we’ll probably limit places to 25 maximum.

All you need to do is sign up using this form: http://tinyurl.com/QuenchReviews
