It’s the last day of the semester and we thought it would be the perfect time to tell you all about a brand new show coming soon to Xpress Radio after the break.

Jess Campbell, who currently presents Xpress Music every Thursday between 6pm and 8pm, will be taking the helm of a new show as one of six student radio presenters from across the UK who get to present their very own version of The Selector.

Teaming up with Folded Wing, the Student Radio Association and the British Council, each show will be entered for the chance to win a one-off show on ibero 90.9 –┬áa Mexico City radio station!

Speaking to Xpress, Jess said she was excited to get started, after attending a two-day training event with Folded Wing in London.

“The show gives me a real opportunity to push the music I love in the local scene, and create a show I will be really proud of.”

“I hope to give it a local flavour, reflecting the diversity Cardiff has to offer.”

Last year, Danni Wickham hosted the show, and was recognised with a Cardiff Student Media Award.
